Natalie Mims Frick (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) will present on demand flexibility and DERs in distribution system planning, including as non-wires solutions/alternatives (NWS/NWA) to conventional distribution upgrades. She will be accompanied by Hanna Terwilliger (Minnesota PUC staff and NASEO-NARUC GEB Working Group co-chair) who will present on NWS/NWA approaches, opportunities, and challenges in Minnesota and recent activities to advance demand flexibility in the state.
