On March 15, 2024, New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced more than $16 million in funding to advance clean hydrogen innovation through the Hydrogen and Clean Fuel Program. The funding will support research, development, and demonstration projects and help leverage federal funding opportunities. Areas of focus include clean hydrogen in industrial processes, clean transportation, energy storage, and grid support. The Hydrogen and Clean Fuel Program will be administered by the New York Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The program is open to proposals from single entities and teams in two separate categories: product development and pilot/demonstration projects. Funding for the program comes from New York’s Clean Energy Fund and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. Please click here for more information.
