Boston, MA

This invite-only, 2-day workshop will convene state and territory policy leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities for state leadership on electricity transmission expansion.   • Explore the roles and responsibilities of state policy leaders as they relate to those of regulators, regional transmission operators, the private sector, and federal partners;
  • Identify solutions to the challenges faced by state leaders and the range of policy, regulatory, and programmatic solutions that Governors and state energy leaders can implement to overcome those challenges, such as system planning, cost allocation, stakeholder engagement, and more;
  • Understand technical assistance needs to further support state and territory leaders and foster more productive transmission planning, permitting, and project deployment.
