Distribution planning is a required component of the State Energy Program. In addition, greater engagement of State Energy Offices in distribution planning provides opportunities for states to meet the combined challenges of growing electricity demand, aging infrastructure, and ensuring resource adequacy, resilience, and affordability. This training will provide an overview of distribution planning fundamentals, with examples how State Energy Offices can engage in the planning processes. The training will include technical subject matter expert presentations along with roundtable discussions featuring State Energy Offices engaged in distribution planning.
