AEE's objective is to promote energy efficiency by training new and experienced professionals on how to implement efficient and renewable energy measures. Founded in 1977, AEE is a nonprofit professional society of over 17,000 members and 28,000 certified professionals in over 100 countries. AEE offers an array of informational outreach programs including training, seminars, conferences, journals, books, and certification programs. AEE's network of over 100 local chapters meets regularly to discuss regional issues. The Foundation of the Association of Energy Engineers is nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering education in energy efficiency. The Foundation has awarded over $1.1 million in scholarships. We support and mentor the advancement of women through our Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership.
