Founded in 1998, PSD (psdconsulting.com) is an energy efficiency technology and services company. We have several areas of specialization. PSD designs and implements all aspects of residential and commercial energy efficiency programs for gas and electric utilities in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. In addition to program implementation, PSD is an industry leader in the development and delivery of energy code trainings and compliance support initiatives. We have years of experience conducting IECC, ASHRAE, and stretch code trainings for state energy offices and are currently training over 14,000 students on energy codes annually. PSD is also responsible for innovative quality assurance and quality control services in a number of states, as well as being a certified BPI training center and also offering Rating Provider services. Furthermore, PSD has a team of in-house developers and is the company behind Compass, the software platform used throughout the country for the administration of DSM energy efficiency programs. As of 2022, we have grown to 95+ employees across 14 states and have three offices located in Pennsylvania and New York, while remaining an SBA-certified SBE (Small Business Enterprise). Other notable and relevant work has included the development of a range of energy efficiency calculations tools and support for the development and delivery of a range of energy efficiency programs that have impacted residential, multifamily and commercial buildings, including existing buildings, new construction and, Low and Moderate Income (LMI) housing.
