NYSERDA Launches Website to Improve Access to State Energy Programs

Source: NYSERDA

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) announced the launch of the NY Energy Advisor website on April 14, 2022. The website will help low-to-moderate income households in New York better access clean energy programs and energy assistance in the state without having to search across multiple platforms. It includes resources and information on renewable energy, energy education, energy efficiency, and other relevant topical areas. Eligible individuals, based on specific criteria, will also be able to connect to programs like Solar for All and the Home Energy Assistance Program through the website. The website will have details on these programs and services, and will include information on benefits, direct links to applications, and contact information for community outreach representatives. There will also be a translation tool available and a companion toolkit with additional materials and links. The NY Energy Advisor website is a joint initiative with NYSERDA and utilities across the state. NY Energy Advisor will be a valuable tool to advance New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act which seeks to deliver at least 35 percent of clean energy investment benefits to disadvantaged communities.
